Hello, I am Heather Graviss!

You may recognize me. I have been a teacher for 20 years and have always had a passion for connecting with youth – if you are in the Nashville area, at one time or another I amy have taught you or your children! While my passion for teaching continues to be a huge part of who I am, I also embrace my passion for photography.

Meet Lucy, Hank & Ford (and Stella!)

My children are my greatest blessing. The photos I have taken of them throughout their childhood are memories that I will cherish forever! Our dog Stella is an Australian Cattle Dog and and loves to play!

My husband and I are both teachers, and we are pretty conservative when it comes to raising our children. We’re loud at times, and our house is messy – but it’s the togetherness that makes my family so close. We eat dinner together and we go to church, every moment we get the chance to be together I cherish.

I believe that the base of all relationships is to be nice and be kind. I always teach my children and students to be creative and opinionated – above all I teach them to be themselves. I bring this out in my photography as well!

Confessions

I run half marathons, so I try and eat really healthy. But I cheat on my diet. A lot.

I love boho fashion, and I’ll choose jeans whenever I can!

I often laugh at the wrong times because of nerves. I’m sorry. I also talk a lot to try and make people comfortable. Again, I’m sorry.

I get emotionally attached to book characters. R.I.P. Professor Snape.

I embarrass my older children. It’s not my fault I’m so good at dancing with “The Michael Jackson Experience”.

Above all, I’m not afraid to look silly and laugh! I really hope that we get the chance to work together so that I can bring out the humour and personality in your family & friends.
